The homeless issue is much more complex than just providing temporary shelters, as critical as that first step is. There are many homeless people that just need a way forward. Studies indicate that about 30% of recently un-housed people are homeless because of the high cost of living, in most cases, it is a lack of affordable housing.
The un-housed initially require shelters, bathrooms, and showers. Our company is dedicated to meeting these basic needs. Once these needs are met, the homeless are now able to find employment. Once employed, our company can provide affordable housing in the form of our tiny home communities offering a path to home ownership.
In order to ensure the safety of those living in a shelter “community”, the extreme danger of fire should be addressed. If one “flammable” shelter catches fire, most likely, other shelters will be engulfed as well. Personal tragedy is the greatest concern but the liability of such an event is significant as well.
